Robert M. Hopkins

Robert M. Hopkins is a resident judge of the Second Circuit Court of Illinois.[1] He first joined the bench in 1992 and has been retained in every subsequent election.[2] Hopkins was retained in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Education
Hopkins earned a B.A. in English from Illinois State University in 1973. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Illinois School of Law in 1983.[2]

Judges of the Illinois Circuit Court stand for retention after their first full term. To be retained, a judge must receive at least 60 percent of the vote.[3][4] Robert M. Hopkins was retained in the Illinois Second Circuit Court, Robert Hopkins Retention Election with 74.80 percent of the vote.
