My name is Robert Mallard and I made Columbus, Georgia my home twenty-four years ago when I had the opportunity to serve our great nation as a Soldier. I began my career here as an enlisted Soldier and ended my career as an Army Officer at Fort Benning, Georgia (Fort Moore). I am a man of faith; I love my family and I love my neighbors; the constituents that homestead throughout the state of Georgia and particularly District 139. I want to say that my candidacy is of divine order.
  • For our Young Men & Women: Education, the world of work is changing, and education lags behind, young men and women need a path. AI and automation are no longer just an idea that can be ignored, we believe in school choice, but we need curriculums and programs that ensure our young men and women are positioned to win in tomorrow’s America. Business & Entrepreneurship programs, Trades and Certifications need to be integrated into the educational system and addressing the needs of young men and women growing up in single-family households, as a community we need to do more to support these parents and grandparents. I invite all leaders in the community to step up and get involved in the lives of our next generation.
  • For Our Veterans: A veteran myself I will always stand with other veterans who have served our country honorably and given of themselves, put themselves in harm's way, and asked their spouses and family to support them in serving all Americans know that I will always represent your best interests and work to ensure you are honored and have your needs and your family’s needs served. To the families of veterans that we have lost, know I stand with you and support you, your burdens are our burdens as your loved one dedicated themselves to protecting us, we will protect you and fight for your needs. I don't believe in sending our Men and Woman off to war without having a care plan in place for them when they return from the fight.
  • For Our Elderly: We need your guidance and wisdom now more than ever, we humbly and respectfully ask for your support and the opportunity to work for you and ensure this country works for you as you worked for it. We also know that the system is not built to ensure seniors get access to programs and support that is already available but remains hidden. From day one we will work to make it easier to access funds and programs that already exist, we will work within the community to pair seniors with members of the community who know and understand the system. For Our Special Needs Community: As a father myself of a child with special needs, I am committed to ensuring our families get the support they need.
• Maintaining a thriving economic engine and attracting new corporations to our district will be a priority for me as your representative. A business owner myself I know the environment businesses need to thrive and create job opportunities for members of our community.

• Infrastructure & Transportation are key elements to ensuring businesses and the community can succeed. As a business owner in the real estate industry, I have traveled throughout our district daily, I understand more than most our strengths and weaknesses as well as were investment will provide the greatest returns for our communities.

• I believe in smaller government, less regulation, and lower taxes to spur economic growth.
I look up to my Dad and his examples on how to treat people are priceless. He was an awesome guy that cared for everyone in our community. He refurbished old bicycles and gave them to children from economic frustrated households. He believed that every child deserves to own and ride a bicycle. I believe everyone deserves to be heard and have their needs addressed no matter economic status, color, religion and gender.
Leadership, Selfless Service, Integrity, Transparency and Dedication to accomplishing the mission.
I'm selfless and I love people. I believe everyone need great leadership and outstanding representation.
As an elected official, always remember that you work for the People that elected you into office. The needs of the People always take priority over political party agendas.
The legacy I would like to leave is a legacy of a man that love and follows GODs WORD, loves his neighbor, defends the poor and fatherless and rid the out of the hand of the wicked (Psalm 82:3-4).
September 11, 2001 was the first most memorable event in my lifetime. I was 21 years old at that time. I was station at Fort Moore(Fort Benning), Georgia watching the Twin Towers fall to the ground on TV at Ranger Joes on Victory Drive. My unit was scheduled to go to Egypt for a 90 day rotation in a few days and I was buying additional gear for the mission.
Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (Bible). Every time I read it, I find something new and exciting. I have not found any book that can compare.
Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers). He was a part of the lives of many over the course of many decades. Mr. Rogers was talented, loving and treated everyone with respect.
Getting a six-pack over 40 years old and I'm not talking about beer.
The governor must work with or through their states' legislatures to accomplish nearly all of their lawmaking goals. I believe that state legislatures bring the needs of the People to the governor to assist with lawmaking goals to benefit the state overall.
I believe the state's greatest challenges will be the fight for Religious Freedoms, Jobs, Drug Abuse, Mental Health, Homelessness and Personal Debt.
Yes, I believe it is beneficial to build relationships with other legislators. I am a conservative running as a Independent because I want to work across the parties for what is best for House District 139 and Georgia.
Yes. There is a woman in my district who is a champion for families with special needs children and adults. Her work is to give support and a voice to this population of people who are in as she called it, "the underground". I listened to her speak about how she rescues deaf and intellectually impaired individuals from jail who were arrested and sometimes abused because they could not communicate. Police and sheriffs often mistake persons in these conditions as being combative or uncooperative. She has stayed the night with older impaired adults whose parents died and there was no care plan in place. She has rescued them from mental institutions. She has gone to war with the education system and the medical system on behalf of families whose children were mistreated or misplaced. And she does this without recognition, no accolades. She does it because she is called to do it. Thats Bravery, tenacity, dedication and selflessness. She's a Soldier and I have the utmost respect for her and her mission because its the one thing we regular folk don't have a clue about.

I will work with fellow legislatures to exempt Veterans with a permanent and total disability from property taxation on real estate owned and used as a homestead.
Defense & Veterans Affairs, Special Committee on Healthcare, Insurance, Education, Bank & Banking, Economic Development & Tourism, Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Small Business Development and Industry & Labor.
· I believe in smaller government, less regulation, and lower taxes to spur economic growth. I will go further and explain that as a business owner I know all too well that over-regulation only results in less adherence to regulations that truly matter. So as your representative, I will support legislation that focuses on important regulations to protect our communities but

· I will also ardently fight against over-regulation as it only serves to bloat government agencies, slow economic growth and bury small businesses in red tape putting them at a disadvantage against larger corporations with armies of legal staff and advisors.
