- I will fight to fully and fairly fund public schools, support educators, protect local control over curriculum, and ensure that any school receiving public dollars meets the same accountability standards and serves all students. School vouchers divert taxpayer dollars from neighborhood public schools to private institutions that are not required to serve every child, disproportionately harming low-income students and students with disabilities. In a state that already ranks near the bottom in per-student funding, this approach is irresponsible.
- I intend to hold the state government accountable for investing in transportation and preparing Texas for extreme weather. I will fight to fund drainage, stormwater planning, flood warning systems, and resilient infrastructure that protect all communities. By expanding flood prevention and response and advancing transportation solutions that reduce congestion and environmental impact, we can save lives, preserve historic communities, and build a more equitable and sustainable future for Bexar County.
- Today, Texans face a growing affordability crisis. The costs of our economy have been shifted onto families living paycheck to paycheck, while the prices of housing, healthcare, and everyday necessities continue to rise. To build a fair economy, I will fight to invest more in skilled trade education, protect fair pay and safe workplaces, and strengthen the social safety net so that hardworking Texans can better afford the essentials and plan for the future.
