Robert Muriel
Robert Muriel is the former director of insurance for Illinois. He assumed office on March 11, 2019, and left office on December 11, 2020.[1][2]
The Illinois Department of Insurance's mission is to protect consumers by providing assistance and information, by efficiently regulating the insurance industry's market behavior and financial solvency and by fostering a competitive insurance marketplace.[3]
Biography
Muriel's professional experience has included working as a civil and commercial lawyer for 20 years. He is the former president of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois and of the Alumni Board of Governors for Loyola University Chicago School of Law.[1]
