Robert N. Davis is a federal judge on senior status for the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He joined the court in 2004 after being nominated by President George W. Bush (R). Davis assumed senior status in December 2019. He served as chief judge of the court from 2016 to 2019.[1][2]

Education

Davis earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Hartford in 1975 and his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1978.[1]

Military service

Davis served in the United States Navy Reserves and was recalled after September 11, 2001. He served at the Joint Intelligence Directorate at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.[1]

Davis was nominated to the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims by President George W. Bush (R) and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Davis joined the court on December 4, 2004. He assumed senior status in December 2019. Davis served as the court's chief judge from October 9, 2016, to December 2019.[1]
