Robert Nunez was an at-large member of the Milpitas Unified Board of Education in California. He won election to the board in the general election on November 4, 2014, and he served until November 2016, when he was elected to the Milpitas City Council.[1]

Nunez earned an associate degree in data processing from Fullerton Community College, a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University-Fullerton, master's in public administration from California State University-Long Beach, and an Ed.D./A.B.D. in educational administration from the United States International University at San Diego. During his career in education, Nunez served as a superintendent, principal, teacher, community college instructor, and other classified positions.[2]

The election in Milpitas Unified featured three seats up for general election on November 4, 2014. There was no primary election.

Incumbents Danny Lau and William Foulk ran for re-election against the following six challengers: Russ Bargstadt, Vance Vuong, David Freeman, Demetress Morris, Robert Nunez and Chris Norwood. Lau won his bid for re-election, but Foulk came in fourth. Norwood and Nunez won election to the board.
