Robert Nyman
Robert Nyman (b. August 20, 1960) was a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He represented the Fifth Plymouth from 1999 until his death on June 25, 2010. Nyman was found dead in the pool at his home. It was ruled an accidental drowning.[1]
Nyman served as Administrative Assistant to Senator Russell Cafedon, and worked for McDonald Funeral Home. He was a member of the Hanover Selectmen from 1984-1987 and 1993-1999, and on the Hanover School Committee from 1979-1984.
Nyman founded the Howie Nyman Memorial Scholarship Fund, and was a member of the Massachusetts Municipal Association, Massachusetts Association of School Committees, Plymouth County Democratic League, Richard Cardinal Cushing Council, Rockland Eagles #841, Rockland Knights of Columbus, and the Weymouth Lodge of Elks.[2]
