Primary: He was defeated in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 45.0 percent of the vote. He competed against Desiree Dyess.

Owsley received a B.S. from Louisiana State University, and a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law.[3]
Career
Owsley is a senior attorney at the law firm of Murchison and Murchison. His practice focuses on family law and civil litigation.[3]
Approach to the law
