Robert D. Philyaw is a judge of the Hamilton County Juvenile Court in Tennessee. He was elected to the court by the Hamilton County Commission and took office on May 1, 2013.[1][2][3][4]

Education

Philyaw received his B.S. from Christian Brothers University in 1995, his M.B.A. from the same school in 1997, and his J.D. from the University of Memphis School of Law.[5][6][7]

Career

Philyaw was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2001. He began his career with the law firm of Shumacker & Thompson and continued to work as a private practice attorney in the Chattanooga area. Philyaw was appointed joined the Graysville Municipal Court in December 2010, where he served until his appointment to the Hamilton County Juvenile Court.[5][7][1]
