Robert Schwandt was a member of the Alvord Unified Board of Education in California, representing Area 4. He assumed office in 2014. He left office on June 27, 2024.
Schwandt won re-election to the Alvord Unified Board of Education to represent Area 4 in California outright after the general election on November 8, 2022, was canceled.

2014
Three seats on the Alvord Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Incumbent Art Kaspereen Jr. ran against challenger Mia Villeta Alvarado for the Trustee Area 1 seat, and incumbent Greg Kraft ran against challenger Robert Schwandt for the Trustee Area 4 seat. Incumbent José Luis Pérez did not file for re-election, leaving the Trustee Area 3 race to two candidates, Donna K. Wandro and Julie Moreno.
Kaspereen was successful in his bid for re-election, defeating Alvarado for Trustee Area 1. Moreno came out on top in the Trustee Area 3 race, and Schwandt defeated incumbent Kraft for Trustee Area 4.
This was the first election in which board members were elected by district. It was also the first time elections were held during an even-numbered year.

Funding
Schwandt reported $12,348.75 in contributions and $4,683.76 in expenditures to the Riverside County Registrar of Voters, leaving his campaign with $7,664.99 cash on hand as of September 30, 2014.[1]
Endorsements
Schwandt received endorsements from the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce Political Action Committee and the Alvord Educators Association.[1][2]
