Robert Selig
Robert "Bob" Selig was a member of the Lincoln Airport Authority Board of Directors in Nebraska. He was appointed by Mayor Chris Beutler with the approval of the Lincoln City Council, to fill the vacancy created by the 2016 election of Anna Wishart to the state Senate. He took office in February 2017.[1]
Selig lost a bid for election to a full term in the general election on May 2, 2017. Airport authority board elections are officially nonpartisan, and the Lancaster County Election Commissioner identified Selig as an independent.[2] Click here to read his response to Ballotpedia's 2017 municipal candidate survey.
Biography
Selig earned an associate degree in criminal justice from Kalamazoo Valley Community College and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Nazareth College. He was also an accredited airport executive.[3][4]
At the time of his 2017 run for office, Selig was a retired airport management executive. His professional experience includes work as president and CEO of the Capital Region Airport Authority and service in the U.S. Air Force.[3][4]

2017
The city of Lincoln, Nebraska, held a primary election for city council and airport authority board of directors on April 4, 2017. A general election was scheduled for May 2, 2017. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was March 3, 2017. Zachary James and incumbent Richard Nuernberger defeated incumbent Robert Selig in the general election for a seat on the Lincoln Airport Authority Board of Directors.[5]

Incumbent Richard Nuernberger, incumbent Robert Selig, and Zachary James were unopposed in the primary election for a seat on the Lincoln Airport Authority Board of Directors.[6]
