Robert Shuler Smith (Democratic Party) ran for election for Governor of Mississippi. Smith lost in the Democratic primary on August 6, 2019.
Biography
Smith received his undergraduate degree from Tougaloo College and his J.D. from Saint Louis University. He was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 1996 and practiced as an attorney before becoming the Hinds County district attorney in 2008.[1]
