Robert Ullmann
Robert Ullmann is an associate justice for the Massachusetts Superior Courts.[1] Ullmann was nominated to the court by former Governor Deval Patrick in February 2013, and his nomination was confirmed by the Governor's Council in April 2013.[2][3] Ullman may serve on the court until he turns the mandatory retirement age of 70.[4]
Education
Ullmann received his A.B. from Harvard College in 1977 and his J.D. from the Harvard Law School in 1981.[1]
Career
From 1995 until he joined the superior court bench in 2013, Ullman was a partner with the law firm of Nutter, McClennen & Fish, LLP in Boston, Massachusetts. He also previously served as a federal prosecutor for ten years with the U.S. Justice Department. While in the U.S. Justice Department, Ullman served as a first assistant U.S. attorney, as the chief of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston, and was appointed by former Attorney General Janet Reno as senior litigation counsel in 1994.[1][5]
