Curtis ran for election to the Giles County General Sessions Court.
General: He was defeated in the general election on August 7, 2014, after receiving 22 percent of the vote. He competed against Robert Richardson Jr., Richard H. Dunavant, Shara A. Flacy, Hershell Koger, Stan Pierchoski, and Randal Lee Sands.
