The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Incumbent Vincent Fort was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Robert W. Tindall was unopposed in the Republican primary. Fort defeated Tindall in the general election.[2][3][4]
