I love SMUD. I worked at SMUD for nearly 20 years. While at SMUD I was personally responsible for

SMUD Greenergy. Greenergy was the first customer-choice all-renewable energy option in California that allowed customers to choose renewable energy by choice, not by force. I’ve been a member of

Greenergy since the start.
  • I know SMUD can do better to keep rates low and to make sure that we are taking care of all customers

equitably. I am currently on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Suburban Water District where I work to keep rate increases below inflation. I want to do the same at SMUD. I will work with the other

Board members to trim the budget to keep our rate increases as small as possible.
  • I’m also interested in older neighborhoods where overhead powerlines and poles are unsightly, contribute to deadly vehicle accidents, and require tree trimming. SMUD needs a long term plan to replace those lines with underground facilities.
  • SMUD needs to be the best electrical utility they can be, and my experience will help make that happen.
I am personally passionate about fiscal responsibility, equitable rates, renewable energy, beautiful neighborhoods, and public safety.
I am detail oriented and prone to researching. I am also dedicated to community service. While serving at the Sacramento Suburban Water District, I have not taken any payment for my service.
As an elected Board member of the Sacramento Suburban Water District I have upheld the interests of my constituents as my highest priority. I work hard to keep rates and bills as low as possible and to provide excellent customer service for everyone.
I pressed pants and coats at a dry cleaner in Sacramento. I worked there for three years prior to college.
