Robert Williams (South Carolina Representative)
Robert Williams (Democratic Party) is a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 62. He assumed office in 2006. His current term ends on November 9, 2026.
Williams (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the South Carolina House of Representatives to represent District 62. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Williams earned his B.S. from Voorhees College in 1991. He then earned his M.P.A. from Troy State University in 2003. He was a Security Officer for Burns International Security from 1989 to 1990. He then worked as Administrator for the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs Support Services from 1991 to 1997. From 1997 to 1999, he was an Addiction Counselor for Correctional Medical Services. Williams was Telamon Corporation Director of Fatherhood Program from 1999 to 2003. He has worked for the Fatherhood and Families Engagement Program since 2003. He is currently a Business Development Consultant as well. Williams served in the South Carolina Army National Guard in Iraq.
