Ballotpedia biographical submission form

The candidate completed Ballotpedia's biographical information submission form:

What is your political philosophy?

The country would run and operate a whole heck of a lot better if the Government would just get out of everyone's way. I hope to help with removing nonsense laws, toning down on government regulations that are more of a hindrance than beneficial to our citizens, do what I can to end drug prohibition, help find some way to better educate our children with more than just memorizing to pass a test and in general, get the government out of our daily lives, out of our bedrooms and out of our wallets.

Is there anything you would like to add?

I am for real equality, not perceived equality. This applies to women's issues, men's issues, race, religious and sexuality issues. I am 100% pro gun. We already have too many regulations and restrictions on guns. The constitution was very clear and it's already being infringed upon too much. While personally, I'm against abortion, politically I feel that the government has no right to tell us what we can or cannot do with our own bodies. To expand on the equality, I am 100% for marriage equality. If a man and a woman want to get married. Two women want to get married? Great. Two men want to get married? Great. There should be no governmental interference or legal difference in any marriage, what-so-ever. They should all be viewed the same under the letter of the law. And to that fact, we need to force insurance companies to change the wording in spousal benefits. Under most company contracts, it specifies opposite gender to the employed citizen. This means that gay couples are not entitled to any benefits from a disabled or deceased spouse. This needs to change and is completely unacceptable. I see no difference between the love of a man and a woman, and a man to another man. Love sees no gender and neither should the law. These are just a few of the things I feel so strongly about. There is far more to come. If you have any interest in knowing more, feel free to connect with me on Facebook via @r.wilsonjr.lpin or email me at r.wilsonjr.lpin@gmail.com.[2]
