Robert Witterschein was a 2012 independent candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 3rd Congressional District of New Jersey.[1] He lost to incumbent Jon Runyan.[2]

He faced Shelley Adler, Jon Runyan, Robert Edward Forchion, Frederick John Lavergne, Robert Shapiro, and Christopher Dennick, Jr. in the general election on November 6.
