Robert A. Zarnoch was an at-large judge on the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, the intermediate appellate court for the state of Maryland. He was appointed to the court by Governor Martin O'Malley on January 28, 2008, and sworn into office on February 27, 2008.[1][2] Zarnoch was retained by voters later that year to a 10-year term ending in 2018.[3][4][5] Zarnoch retired from the Court of Special Appeals on September 19, 2015, when he reached the mandatory retirement age of 70.[3]

Education

Zarnoch received his undergraduate degree in English from Loyola College in Maryland in 1967. He then received his master's degree in journalism from American University in 1969 and his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1974.[3]
