San Diego County held elections for the county board of supervisors, the San Diego County Office of Education, San Diego Community College District, South Bay Irrigation District, and Southwestern Community College District in 2016. The general election was held on November 8, 2016. A primary election was held on July 7, 2016. The candidate filing deadline for this election was on March 11, 2016.[1] Roberto Alcantar defeated William "Bud" McLeroy, Casey Tanaka, Lei-Chala Wilson, and Lander Iriarte in the Southwestern Community College District general election for the District 3 seat.[2]
