Campaign themes
- Transportation
Excerpt: "This is a small step forward, but we will need to make sure that a comprehensive state-wide transportation plan is put into place and funding available every year if we are going to make a serious impact on resolving our transportation woes. We must make sure that Hampton Roads gets its fair share of funding for transportation projects and we need to continue to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in state government, including in the Virginia Department of Transportation."
- Consumer protection
Excerpt: "As Delegate, consumer protection advocate and attorney, I have dedicated my life to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community. I understand the devastating economic consequences that result from being taken advantage of by companies that engage in unethical and deceitful business practices."
- Jobs & the economy
Excerpt: "Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and we should do everything we can to make sure that they can hire new workers and provide good benefits without being held back by government red-tape."
- Education
Excerpt: "No issue is more important to me personally than the education of our children. The most important role of a state legislator in this regard is ensuring that the Commonwealth fulfills its constitutional role of funding the Standards of Quality, Virginia’s school funding formula."
