Robin Green (Connecticut)
Robin Green (Republican Party) was a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 55. She assumed office in 2017. She left office on January 4, 2023.
Green (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives to represent District 55. She won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Biography
Representative Green received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services from Springfield College in Springfield, MA. After graduation, she worked at Capitol Regional Education Council (CREC) and for The Village for Families and Children. Later, she started her first business with the Discovery Zone Learning Center in Columbia, where she became Executive Director. Additional centers have opened in Marlborough and Hebron, all of which are designed to promote growth in school age children by focusing on a variety of physical and mental activities. She has been involved with the Marlborough Business Association, the Audubon Society, Friends of Connecticut State Parks, Friends of the Marlborough and Columbia Libraries, and RHAM Football. In addition, she has belonged to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the Connecticut Association for the Education of Young Children (CEYAC).
In November 2018 Representative Green was elected to her second term in the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 55 which consists of Andover, Bolton, Hebron, and Marlborough. For the 2019 and 2020 legislative sessions, Rep. Green was appointed by House Republican Leader Themis Klarides to serve as Ranking Member of the legislature’s Children’s Committee. She joined the Human Services and Higher Ed Committees and also became a member of the Women’s Caucus.[1]
