I was raised in Fordyce, Arkansas and currently live in Smackover, Arkansas. I am married to a teacher and have four kids ranging from 8th grade to senior at University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. I am currently a pastor in the United Methodist Church, and was previously a high school English teacher at North Little Rock High School and White Hall High School. I love the Razorbacks and the state of Arkansas and look forward to making it a better place for ALL Arkansans.
  • I will work for a brighter Arkansas with world-class education for every student in our classroom while giving our teachers back their power to teach our students.
  • I will work of a healthier Arkansas, with improved healthcare, expanded access, and better health outcomes for all Arkansans
  • I will work for a safer Arkansas with better roads and bridges, clean air and water, less crime in our communities, and safer places to work and live.
While there are many area of public policy i care deeply about, education is where I find the most passion. Our teachers are grossly over-worked with excess paperwork and out-of-state "consultants" impacting their teaching time with their students in all our schools. It's time to give teachers their classrooms back to do the work we've entrusted them to do in educating the future leaders of our state. Our teachers also need their voices heard, and with the recent passage of the LEARNS act, it's obvious our current elected officials have forgotten about our teachers and students, refusing to hear their voices. I pledge to always listen to our teachers and work not only on their behalf, but on behalf of all Arkansans with a stake on the education of our kids.
