2014
Titus' campaign website highlighted the following issues:[12]
No “fly-over counties”
- Excerpt: "The economic value of Lyon County and Churchill County is not respected in this state. As a rural person, I think I can help them have a strong voice. We bring ‘real money’ – the ranchers, farmers, miners – that does not receive the respect we’d like to have."
Jobs
- Excerpt: "Nevada has one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation. It’s time to stimulate the economy by reducing taxes and regulation on small businesses. as a small business owner, I know what it’s like to close down business doors due to high taxes and government regulations."
Taxes
- Excerpt: "Government spending is out of control. Big businesses have been bailed out with our tax money. It’s time to hold our government fiscally responsible. I pledge to lower our taxes, cut unnecessary spending and spend only what we have. It’s time we head in a new direction."
Healthcare
- Excerpt: "Our healthcare system is at a crossroads and politicians are deciding our fate. As a family practice doctor, I have fought for patient rights and believe that people should decide their healthcare. Tort reform, more access to healthcare providers, accountability of insurance and pharmaceutical companies will give people better healthcare and lower costs."
2nd Amendment Rights
- Excerpt: "I am a strong Second Amendment supporter. The mental health issue involving gun control efforts is incredibly important. It’s not a gun problem, it’s a mental health problem. There are plenty of laws on the books now; we just don’t enforce them."

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
