Retired Naval Officer (32.5yrs), Surface Warfare Officer, oceanographer & meteorologist; served on 6 continents, every ocean, on sea duty, flying orders, ashore, in command, and 3 times in the Pentagon. A single/widowed mother of two sons (20 & 25) - both athletes and eagle scouts who attended multiple very different schools. Committed environmentalist, on the Board of Directors for Conservatives for Responsible Stewardship. Serves of Planning Board and Energy Commitee. Works part-time consulting, and running an LLC.
  • I support ALL Constitutional rights & freedoms. The 9th amendment notes we all have MORE rights than specifically listed (including parental rights, medical freedom, etc.), and the 10th amendment states that like government has NO rights not specifically granted.
  • Serious environmental problems (ocean plastics, climate, PFAS/PFOA, pollinator decline, etc.) require BI-partisan solutions/actions based on discussion of a range of data-driven solutions - NOT partisan agendas.
  • Education is critical for our collective future as a nation. Schools must graduate students who can read, write, do math, understand civics, be physically fit, and hopefully music & art. Schools should NOT promote any political agendas.
FREEDOMS/RIGHTS: Freedom of Speech/Assembly/Press, Medical freedom, Parental rights. NO CENSORSHIP

Environment, sustainability, energy policy

Quality Education for all - devoid of political agendas.
Integrity. Honesty. Balance. Objectivity to consider all views on an issue.
Commitment to constituents first - NOT to party or any individual politician.
integrity, honesty, willing to work with any person or party, independent minded - considers all views, understands REAL science and sources (vs partisan claims). I'm not looking for a political career - I'm more interested in being part of REAL solutions for everyday people.
being widowed with very young children, & beating aggressive late-stage cancer
Experience in government is helpful. I have spoken at public hearings and before state legislators in several states. In New Hampshire, serving on municipal boards and committees has taught me about state & local government processes. In various military tours of duty, I learned a ton of valuable information - from multiple perspectives - about the federal government budget process. Having served in the Pentagon I have drafted congressional testimony, and briefed staffers.
This is all immensely helpful. I'm sure political experience is helpful in the current (too corrupt) environment, but our founders envisioned public service - not career politicians...and too much time in politics may be a red flag...
Yes. Everything in life - and accomplishing any group goal - is ALWAYS most effectively and efficiently done through teamwork and cooperative relationships. You can team with someone on one topic and disagree on others. Teamwork never requires sacrificing on your principles,
Thomas Massie - smart, objective, thoughtful, bi-partisan in action, doesn't follow partisan rhetoric (of his own party) if it is no based in or substantiated by facts/science/existing law. He values his district and constituents far more than anything in DC - a true public servant who is not narcissistic or power-hungry.
Depends on the issue. Usually Yes, after objectively assessing a problem/issue, we should discuss/debate a RANGE of possible solutions and ideas and find common ground. We need to work together for the benefit of all.
However, it is never ok to ignore, withhold or violate constitutionals rights and freedoms!
