Robyn Crittenden
Robyn A. Crittenden was the interim Georgia secretary of state from November 2018 to January 2019. Gov. Nathan Deal (R) appointed Crittenden November 8, 2018, to succeed Brian Kemp (R).[1]
Biography
Crittenden previously served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Georgia Student Finance Commission, general counsel at Morehouse College, executive vice president and general counsel at the Georgia Student Finance Commission, and assistant vice chancellor of Legal Affairs-Contracts for the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. She was also an assistant county attorney in DeKalb County and an associate at the law firm of Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy.[2]

Political career
Georgia Secretary of State (2018-2019)
Governor Nathan Deal (R) appointed Crittenden as interim secretary of state on November 8, 2018. She filled the vacancy left by former Secretary of State Brian Kemp (R), who resigned to become governor of Georgia.[1] She served until January 2019.
Crittenden was the first African-American woman to serve as a statewide constitutional officer in Georgia history.[1]
Georgia Department of Human Services Commissioner (2015-2018)
In 2015, Gov. Deal appointed Crittenden to be the commissioner for the state Department of Human Services.[1]
