A Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District Property Tax Increase question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Boulder County, which is in Colorado, where it was approved.

This question authorized the Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District to increase property taxes by up to 4 mills ($4 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) and increase the property tax rate by 1 mill ($1 per $1,000 of assess valuation) for 4 years resulting in a total 8 mill increase. The first year revenue from this tax is $1,397,930. This increased taxation is to be used to fund operating expenses, maintenance costs and asset acquisition of the District.[1]
