Rodney Vickers
Rodney Vickers was a 2012 Republican candidate for District 7 of the Georgia State Senate.
Vickers was born and raised in Coffee County, and grew up in the Ambrose community.[1] He attended Coffee County public schools, Emory University, George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and the Medical College of Georgia.[1] He interned at the University of North Carolina and completed a general surgery residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans.[1][2]
Vickers is a retired general surgeon from Douglas, Georgia.[1]

Vickers ran in the 2012 election for Georgia State Senate District 7. Vickers and Mark Hatfield were defeated by Tyler Harper in the Republican primary on July 31, 2012. Gene Mitchell ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[3][4]
