Martinez's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[13]
“ |
Now that the truth has been exposed about the Governor’s tactics, we need to move forward in supporting the needs of our behavioral health providers in order to serve the people of New Mexico.
I strongly believe in the need to support our teachers, support public education and the development of an approach to education that meets the needs of our State. We need to prepare our students for their future in a highly competitive job environment. I support early childhood education, giving our youngest children a jump start in their education.
I am committed to ensuring our failed corporate tax structure ends. New Mexico has the lowest job growth in the entire Nation. We need to invest in the basic infrastructure for economic growth, clean energy, highways and worker education and training.
It has been a long tradition in New Mexico, that our women and men have protected the values of our great nation through military service. With these high rates of military volunteerism come high volumes of veterans with unmet needs. I work to bring improved benefits for veterans.
We must protect and preserve one of our most valuable resources 'WATER'.[14] |

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
