1) Elect the School District Superintendent; Elect and work with the school district Superintendent

2) Make crucial deci­sions on issues—
· Issues like school safety
· Modernizing facil­ities
· Employee relations
· Develop and oversee budgets
· Set the school calendar
· Analyze progress on a wide array of measures that efficiently serve stu­dents.
· They work closely with district leadership to make sure schools are running smoothly
· That teachers and students get the resources they need
· They deal with controversy, seek solutions to problems, and
· Help the community come together around what matters most
· Making sure local kids get a world-class education.
· Entrusted with asking hard ques­tions on behalf of the whole commu­nity
· Ensure students in every neighborhood getting the same (equal) access to rigorous courses, engaging learning.
· Ensure all kinds of students—including low-in­come students, English learners, and students with disabilities— are getting what they need to succeed

3) To be the ears and voice of the community (Parents, Guardians, and local community)

4) Set the Vision
• The school board establishes a clear vision and high expectations for quality teaching, engaged learning, effective school leadership, and
