Roger Greene is the Districts 7 and 8 representative on the Hamblen County Board of Education in Tennessee. He first joined the board in 1985.[1]

Greene sought another term in the general election on August 4, 2016.[2] He successfully won re-election to his seat.[3]

Greene works as a real estate broker for Crye Leike Ron Mann Real Estate. He was inducted into the Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) Quarter Century Club. He has served on the Tennessee Unemployment Compensation Trust since 1991, and is a delegate to the Tennessee Legislative Policy Committee. Greene graduated from Walters State Community College and the School of Banking at Louisiana State University. He and his wife have three children.[1]

Three of the seven seats on the Hamblen County Schools Board of Education were up for by-district general election on August 4, 2016.[4] Incumbents Joe Gibson Jr. and Jim Grigsby ran unopposed and won the seats representing Districts 3 and 4 and 13 and 14, respectively. In the race for the seat representing Districts 7 and 8, incumbent Roger Greene defeated challenger Richard Tuttle to win another term.[2][5][3]
