Please go to my new website RogerKittelson2020.com It will be updated through this election year. Currently, it provides my personal and professional background and the three main issues and reasons I as seeking this office in the Minnesota State Legislature - Senate District 21 - which is a rural district in Southeastern Minnesota.

The three main issues are healthcare, education, and transportation.

Please donate if you believe in a grassroots campaign and better healthcare without the insurance industry regulating our healthcare for their profit. The suggestion is a Minnesota Health Care Cooperative, which is operated by Minnesota residents, funded by the Minnesota residents, and benefits Minnesota residents without any outside business interests interfering with our healthcare professionals and our Minnesota residents. Please review the website; RogerKittelson2020.com.
  • We can do a better job operating our healthcare and senior healthcare without the insurance industry and lawyers that profit from it.
  • Education is important in the short term and long term and a strong Preschool through PHD programs are very important for our long term economic competitiveness.
  • Transportation - roads, bridges, rail, river traffic, sea ports, and mass transit play a huge part in moving goods and people, which makes us money and saves us money in our State.
The three areas I reported in the key messages are my main passion, which is making money and saving money for Minnesota in the short run and long run. We are locked in the midwest, with great resources to market domestically and internationally and we need a great health care system, education system, and transportation system to achieve the goals of being extremely competitive in the world of business. Good business helps fund these three items and more.
Truly the individuals that go to work every day and pay taxes to run our County, State and Country. They deserve the medal of honor for doing the jobs that keep us moving forward. So, no one person can lead we all need to help everyone in all positions do their best and trust they will succeed at that task.

The honest persons we can trust.
An old book written by Ray Bradbury; Fahrenheit 451.

Its about 50 plus years old. Good reading especially today.
I was very successful in dairy ingredients sales in the food and feed industry and developing and dissemination international dairy markets for the USDA Dairy Division.

I know how to take large tasks and work with individuals to get the goals accomplished. I enjoy working with a varied group of individuals to move goals forward.
Listening to the residents in their district and State and acting in their best interests for the short and long term.
A simple smile and recognition that a sense of humor is important to enjoy life.
My first professional job out of the University of Minnesota was a Technical Writer for a Curriculum Design education program focusing on Agriculture Record Keeping and Finance. It was a temporary position that lasted one year.
Giants in the Earth - A novel by Ole Edvart Rolvaag. 1927.

A story about the Norwegian immigrants to Minnesota and the Dakotas.
You cant always get what you want. The Rolling Stones are coming to the Twin Cities.
The same tasks, but a different view at every issue to ensure we get it right or the best position at the time.
A true working relationship based on getting the best results for Minnesota.
Yes, its important to build relationships in the business world and with your fellow legislators. It truly does not matter who they are and what they believe but it is important to understand what the main reasons for the differences in each legislative issue and be able to compromise for the best results for all parties.

One long term State Senator reported that both parties in the State Legislature are there to do what is in the best interests of the State of Minnesota and I agree.
Chairperson of the Health Care committee, Education committee, Transportation committee or Tax committee.
I am not sure, as time changes the issues that face the State over time and what may have worked 20 years ago or more may not be the best policy today. In other words, one should be flexible to find the best compromise for the issues that are difficult to resolve.
WE have lots of stories about health care problems that should not occur if everyone had healthcare, with a yearly checkup, which will save lives and reduce healthcare costs, but the insurance industry demands a profit before they receive any claims. We do not need any healthcare insurance companies anymore. They simply do not work anymore for customers or healthcare professionals, and should have been put out of business two decades ago when the cost of health care became more expensive than housing.

Our Congress and Presidents and our State have failed to do what is in the best financial interests of residents in the USA and Minnesota.
