Roger Reynolds was a 2016 Republican candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 8th Congressional District of Ohio in the June 7, 2016, special election. The special election was called due to John Boehner's resignation on October 31, 2015. Reynolds withdrew immediatly after filing for candidacy and expressed support for candidate Timothy Derickson. He was also a candidate in the regularly scheduled general election on November 8, 2015, but withdrew from the race on the same day.[1][2]

Reynolds was appointed auditor of Butler County on April 15, 2008. He was re-elected twice to four-year terms of office on Nov. 2, 2010 and Nov. 4, 2014. In October 2013, Ohio Auditor of State Dave Yost awarded Reynolds and his office the Auditor of State Award With Distinction.[3]

Reynolds attended the University of Cincinnati, where he earned his B.B.A. in accounting and finance.[3]
