Roland Chavez
Roland Chavez was a 2015 nonpartisan candidate for District H of the Houston City Council in Texas. Roland Chavez lost the general election on November 3, 2015.
Biography
Chavez is from Houston, Texas, and graduated from John H. Reagan Senior High School in 1975. He attended San Jacinto College and the University of Houston-Downtown. Chavez worked for the Houston Fire Department from 1979 to 2013. He has been involved in the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association, Local 341 for much of his career, including a term as president.[1]

The city of Houston, Texas, held elections for mayor and city council on November 3, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was August 24, 2015.[2] In the race for District H, Karla Cisneros and Jason Cisneroz defeated Roland Chavez and Abel Davila in the general election. Cisneros defeated Cisneroz in a runoff election on December 12, 2015.[3][4]
