Hofemann advanced past the September 14 primary election. He faced incumbent Mark Ryder (D), Kenneth Stanley (D), Michael Weeden (D), and Donald Andolina (R) in the November 2 general election.
2008
On November 4, 2008, Hofemann finished first for the three-seat Strafford District 6 in New Hampshire receiving 3,075 votes, ahead of Democrats Robert Lewis(2,997), and Mark Ryder(2,891), and others(44).[3]
