A Rolling Meadows City Garbage Collection Question was on the November 6, 2012 ballot in the city of Rolling Meadows, which is in Cook County, where it was defeated.
This measure was an advisory question and asked residents if they wanted the city to privatize garbage and refuse collection. City Aldermen voted 4-3 to place the issue on the ballot. City officials sought ways to cut costs and saw privatization of garbage collection as a possible option.[1]
