Roma M. McElwee was an Oklahoma special district court judge for Oklahoma County, which is located in District 7.[1] She was appointed by former Governor Frank Keating in September 1995.[2] McElwee retired in 2017.[3]

Education

McElwee received a bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1968, and a J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1974.[4]


Career

Before joining the bench, McElwee was in private practice for 13 years. Prior to that, she was an assistant public defender and an assistant district attorney for Oklahoma County.[4]
