Graham became a member of the Irvington Board of Education in April 2011. She served as president before becoming an at-large freeholder. Graham worked as an educator. She was employed with the Newark Public School System from 1999 to 2014.

Graham earned her degree in urban studies from St. Peter’s College in Jersey City.
