Roman G. Golash was a candidate seeking an at-large seat on the Township High School District 211 Board of Education in Illinois in the general election on April 7, 2015.[1] He lost the election.[2]

Golash unsuccessfully ran for a seat on the board in April 2013.[3]

Golash works as a microbiologist at the Loyola University Medical Center. He served in the U.S. Army until he retired in 2010. He is involved in a number of associations, including the American Legion Post 690, the Military Officers Association of America, the Reserve Officers Association, the Association of the United States Army and a number of associations for microbiologists. Golash earned a bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University, a master's degree from Thomas Jefferson University and a second master's degree from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He also attended the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He and his wife have two children.[4]

Four of the seven at-large seats on the Township High School District 211 Board of Education were up for general election on April 7, 2015.

Incumbents Bill Robertson, Mucia A. Burke, George Brandt and Richard Gerber were up for re-election. Robertson and Brandt did not file to run for re-election, leaving Burke and Gerber to face the following six challengers: Peter R. Dombrowski, Roman G. Golash, Robert D. Lithgow, Will Hinshaw, Lauanna Recker and Edward M. Yung.

Burke won another term on the board, and newcomers Recker, Dombrowski and Hinshaw won election to the other three seats.
