Romonda Belcher-Ford is an associate judge on the Fifth District Court in Iowa. She was appointed to this position in August 2010. Belcher-Ford is the first female African-American judge in the state of Iowa.[1] Her current term expires in 2018.

Education

Belcher-Ford received her undergraduate degree from Howard University and her J.D. from Drake Law School.[1]

Career

Prior to her appointment, Belcher-Ford worked for fifteen years in the Polk County attorney's office.[1]

2012 election

Belcher-Ford was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 76.53% of the vote.[2][3]
