Opposition

Three of the five seats on the Mukilteo School District Board of Directors were up for election on November 3, 2015. Candidates are elected at large but run for and serve numbered geographic districts.

District 1 incumbent Michael Simmons, District 3 incumbent Ron Johnson and District 5 incumbent John Gahagan ran for re-election.

While Simmons and Gahagam won re-election after facing no official challengers, Johnson faced Kyle Kennedy.[1] Johnson, however, dropped out of the race prior to the general election. The decision came too late to remove his name from the ballot, but Johnson stated his endorsement for Kennedy to replace him in the county's voter pamphlet.[2] Kennedy won the District 3 seat.
