A native of Santa Rosa, Kristof earned a bachelor's degree in political science, German and English, as well as a master's degree in political science, from Sonoma State University. Now retired, he taught in Santa Rosa City Schools for 29 years.[1]

Three at-large incumbents, Bill Carle, Frank Pugh and Ron Kristof, were up for re-election. They defeated challengers Mike Kallhoff and Omar A. Medina to win new terms in office.

Funding

Kristof filed Form 470 to indicate he would not be spending or receiving more than $1,000 in this election. Because of that, he did not have to file any additional campaign finance reports.[2]

Endorsements

Kristof was endorsed by the Sonoma County Democratic Party and the Santa Rosa Teachers Association.[3][4]
