Ron Richard was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 3rd Congressional District of Louisiana.

Richard ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Louisiana's 3rd District. Richard faced incumbent Jeff Landry (R), incumbent Charles Boustany Jr. (R), Bryan Barrilleaux (R) and Jim Stark (L) in the November 6 blanket primary. Incumbents Landry and Boustany advanced past the primary and faced off in the December 8 runoff. Boustany went on to win the election.[1]
