Ron Spilman
Ron Spilman was the nonpartisan New Mexico State Controller. He was first appointed to the position in 2014 by Gov. Susana Martinez (R). He served until March 2019.[1]
Biography
Much of Spilman's professional career was spent working with Exxon-Mobil; Spilman joined the company in 1978, the year of his graduation from Rutgers University, and remained with the company until his retirement in 2012. In 2013, Spilman left retirement to join the New Mexico state government as a cash control manager, holding this position until his appointment as controller in 2014.[1]
