I'm a big fan of historical greats like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X and Ghandi all for their different leadership styles and their deep desire to change the world for the people they served.
I have written several books that describe who I am as a person, what I believe and what I've been through to mold me into the leader I am today. "I Almost Gave Up," and "You're Too Close to Give Up Now," are two of my favorites because they truly expose who I am and why I believe that we can all overcome.
Many people have lost faith in politicians and that's one reason why I believe it's even more important to uphold certain characteristics such as integrity, honesty and devotion. People should be able to trust their leaders and those that make decisions on their behalf.
My family didn't have a lot of money when I was young so I started selling school supplies and candy in elementary school to earn extra money. This was the start of my entrepreneurial experience and it's something that has stuck with me until this very day.
