With your encouragement, I have decided to run for reelection. As a leader, I’m known as someone who listens to all sides and acts fairly. I am a 4th generation Skagitionian working jointly with my family to run our organic century old family dairy farm.
  • • Sensible spending: With reduced support from the state and federal government, Skagit County must be more efficient in providing essential services in the future. I will use common sense for short term and long term solutions for future generations.
  • • Quality of life: My goal is a safe, attractive and affordable community with good jobs, good schools, and a healthy environment that maintains our community’s heritage and natural beauty.
  • • Strengthen our natural resource industries and retain local jobs: Manage community change in way that supports our maritime and marine industries, forestry and timber, agriculture, and tourism. Support development in our cities that provides affordable options for new homes and businesses.

The founding fathers of this country. They understood history and human natural to write the Declaration of Independence.
Gather information from our community to understand what is important issues they need help with.
I have the ability to listen and learn quickly. I can ask question to better understand issues. I can explain the many different levels of governments. Explaining the areas of authority and responsiblity each have.
I would like to be remember as someone who is able listen to different sides of issues and help groups see the other points of view on that issue.
The small town of Edison had its 100 year celebration. I was 11 years old. That same year the first moon landing occurred.
As a fourth generation dairy farmer, my first job was feeding young calves, twice a day. I started in first grade and worked on other task all through high school.
Working on a dairy farm, there is always something else to do. My work sometimes takes away from my family time.
The tax dolllars need to be spent wisely. It is tax payer dollars so, finanaial transparency and government accountablity is top priority for me.
