I served in the United States Marine Corps, after my discharge I became a telecommunications lineman building cable television and fiberoptic telecommunications networks across the U.S. I have been married to my wife Marie since 1988 and we have called Nevada our home since 1996. We raised three children in the same home we purchased in 1996., Our children went through the Clark County public school system, and they are all hard-working productive Americans. Thanks to the tuition reimbursement offered by NV Energy my employer for close to twenty years, I was able to attend college in the evening and received an associate degree from the College of Southern Nevada, a bachelor's degree from UNLV and an MBA from Western Governors University. I also earned numerous professional certifications including my Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) and a graduate certificate in Renewable Energy. NV Energy also sponsored my attendance in the "Leadership Las Vegas "cohort in 2017. I am thankful for the opportunity I have been given and I understand that much is expected of me because of that. I have also been fortunate in my lifetime to serve the youth of Neva da I coached softball, baseball, football and basketball and recently received my 25- year service award as a high school sports official I currently work as an advisor to the electric utility and telecommunications industry and am an adjunct professor of business and management at the College of Southern Nevada.
  • We accomplish more when we work collaboratively
  • We must have faith and trust in the institutions that have made this country great
  • Developing the mental, physical capabilities and character of our youth and providing for the needs of the elderly and those living on the margins is the cornerstone of every great society.
Infrastructure - Education - Healthcare - Economic Development
Elected officials like all members of the community must be honest, empathetic, have integrity and be able to collaboratively work with the community and other elected officials to identify community challenges and create policies that are in the best interest of the community they represent.
I am energetic, honest, disciplined, love America and truly believe in the institutions that make our country great.
I would like to be known as a person who made a positive difference in our community.
I read a lot. My favorite book is typically the one I am reading at the time. Currently I am reading "The Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell. In the book Gladwell gives a lot of examples of how the little thing make a big difference. I believe this to be true.

I served in the United States Marine Corps, worked as a telecommunications lineman for fifteen years, worked in operations management in the electric industry for twenty years and currently work as a utility infrastructure consultant.

I believe in continuous education and self-improvement. I attended night school and received a Bachelor of Arts from University of Las Vegas Nevada, a Graduate Certificate in Renewable Energy from the University of Nevada Reno, College of Engineering, a Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute and a Master Degree in Business Administration. I have contributed to my community as a neighborhood leader, a youth sports coach and manager, a high school football referee and as a member of the YMCA Board of Directors. I am active in Church and Veterans affairs. My wife Marie and I love Nevada and raised three children in the same small house we bought 24 years ago. Our children graduated from the Clark County public school system and are productive members of the community. I believe my business experience and acumen; my education and my community engagement uniquely qualify me for the position of State Senator for District 18 in the City of Las Vegas.

  • Faith and hope triumphs over fear
  • America is a great nation and great nations are caring, compassionate and display fortitude, moral character and determination
I am passionate about infrastructure and technology. I believe that the Untied States with all of it's resources, affluence and influence should be a world leader in broadband access, smart electric grids, renewable energy and smart agriculture, These things will be a focus of my public service . Ensuring that all Americans receive the best education and the development of young Americans character, intellect and physical health should be first foremost in our policy decisions. Proper health and wellness care for the elderly and veterans who have committed themselves to this great nation in so many ways is critical to displaying to the rest of the world that America is a faithful, caring society of generous, hopeful people. If we do not take care of the environment we live in and collaborate with communities, industry and the rest of the world on solutions to our current environmental crisis everything else we do will be inconsequential. We must mobilize all of our resources in the noble effort to repair our environment and prepare the world for future generations. If we focus on Infrastructure improvements and technology developments, nurturing the nations youth, caring for those who have given so much and saving our environment, I believe everything including the economy will take care of itself. We must be an energetic, enthusiastic, industrious and collaborative society, the shining light of hope freedom that our forefathers must have envisioned.
