The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 13, 2014. Incumbent Marge Shepardson was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Ronald E. Chapman was unopposed in the Republican primary. Shepardson and Chapman faced off in the general election.[1] Incumbent Shepardson defeated Chapman in the general election, and was re-elected for another term.[2]
