Ronald G. Pearson is a former chief judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of West Virginia. Pearson was appointed to the court in 1985.[1] He retired from the bench on October 8, 2015.[2]

Education

Pearson received both his undergraduate degree in industrial engineering and his J.D. degree from West Virginia University.[3]

Career

Before joining the court, Pearson served as a finance commissioner and as a state treasurer for the State of West Virginia. He also previously was a partner at the firm of Cecil Pearson & Barth (now Barth & Thompson) in Charleston, West Virginia.[4]
